Mario is the main character of the Mario series. He eventually went down an underwater Warp Pipe and ended up in Bikini Bottom. He quickly became friends with SpongeBob.

Mario and SpongeBob get along very well. A running gag is that SpongeBob gets easily impressed by all the moves that Mario can pull off.
Luigi[]
Mario and Luigi share a brotherly bond. Mario and Luigi live in the same house but they do not tend to spend much time together that much due to Mario always doing Plumber jobs and Luigi hanging out with Squidward.
